follow are true

Mike was eating with us recently. He noticed
the TVs were not on the NCAA
(March Madness) tournament but were instead on MEN’S FIGURE SKATING.
Thinking that we were perhaps too busy to realize such a gross misstep,
he waited patiently for the Manager on Duty, Young Andrew (aka Todd’s
son), to appear to point out the horrible travesty. When Andrew arrived
he mentioned the obvious oversight and, to the dismay of himself and all
those surrounding him, Andrew responded, “We can’t change it now; he’s
leading.”
My cell phone rang within minutes. “Not
only did he know it was on, he wanted it on, and knew who was leading”.
Thanks for the heads-up, Angry.
Young Andrew has lost his remote
control privileges for two weeks and
will be asked not to wear his
sequined pants to work. (Todd suggested perhaps he should just
tickle Andrew as a form of punishment. We’ll stick with the above.)

Have we been doing
this for that long?!
She was a skinny high school kid, now
she’s a mommy! Chelsey (aka. the
Cheese) had a baby girl, Savanna Grace, on April 2. Mother and
baby are doing great. Both are absolutely beautiful. Cheese is my
all-time favorite employee (Yeppers, we play favorites!) She’s going to
be a great mom.
(I remember coaching my new managers,
“When it’s time to get someone off the clock, never cut the Cheese.”) |

The times they are a

The ladies are taking over, so
be a sweetie and raise the
seatie! We’ve gone and joined the 21st century. We’ve added two
new in-store managers, and one office/
administrative manager. Now the truly shocking part, they’re all women!
It’s a new concept and Grumps is proud to be part of this cutting-edge
approach. We have always believed that women are people, too, and we
stand behind that statement.
